Tonight I cruised around prometheanplanet.com. I am creating a list of Activboards flipcharts I intend to use in my kindergarten class. I plan to use the projector and a whiteboard until my promethean white board is installed (Ha-Ha). There were several themes I found interesting, but when I tried viewing them, I was notified a flipchart viewer was required to view the activstudio lessons. I downloaded the viewer and it seemed to be successful until I tried to open/download the flipchart. No luck. Then I recalled Carol explaining another way through SDP schoolnet or nettrekker. ??? I tried-- but it appears I need a refresher course on how to navigate the process to view the lessons.

The drive home from school this evening seemed to take longer than usual. It had been a rainy day and the traffic seemed more intense. As I inched along I noticed the grass growing along the highway medians as well on the front lawns of homes. Green and misty.. It somehow reminded me of Ireland. I never been to Ireland in person but intend to visit someday (on my bucket list). While exploring blogs tonight I found a site called Travelblog.org. It's a collection of travel journals, diaries and photos from around the world. I went to cyber Ireland! It was interesting reading and watching peoples stories about their daily experiences in Ireland. I felt like I was with them as it was happening. Many people blogged from hotels and internet cafes. With the value of the dollar declining and gas prices so high these days-- cyper blogtraveling could be a way to go.
Top O' the morning to you!

April 27, 2008

Today is a special day because I am creating my first blog. It is easy and fun to create.
I'm glad I made it to class on time to learn this amazing new skill. To think I was almost late to class because I refused to leave the house until I folded the clothes in the dryer while still warm! Yes, the dryer beeped to signal the laundry was dry right as I stood outside with my key in the lock to leave. I heard the signal loud and clear. I froze-a dilemma. Should I leave the clothes to cool and fold them later? No, they would be wrinkled. I could always reheat them for a few minutes and refold them when I get back home but that's a waste of energy. I had to go back and fold it hot.
